I had an issue w/my trailer and a bearing seizing up. I had it towed to the auto doctor for repair. As it turned out there were some problems and the issue reoccurred as I was towing the trailer home from the shop to the Bay Area. I called up afterwards and had my mechanic explain the issue to the Alan and he made things right by not charging me for the work that was done. We're all human and sometimes things don't work as planned...what's equally important is to recognize when there is a problem and fix it. Alan did exactly that, end of story. Reputation is everything and I'm impressed that the auto doctor has firmly stood behind their work and made the everything whole.

So great to have a family-owned trustworthy auto repair shop in Truckee! Been taking several cars here for many years, and today (12/14/2020) the hood latch on my Subaru Forester malfunctioned so it would not close properly. I just popped in unannounced, and Alan took a look, then drove into the garage. Ten minutes later he brought it back out and it was working perfectly! He fixed it right then and there even though they were booked solid! Wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. Thanks Alan!

Had appointment for oil change and tire swap, they took me in right on time and within an hour were done! I liked the photo records of the maintenance done. Very professional as always. Only garage I've used since moving here in 2001. Highly recommend.
